The Nantucket Doctor Movie explores the world of Dr. Tim Lepore, a small-town family physician, master surgeon, Lyme Disease expert, substance abuse clinician and father figure -- who moonlights as a football coach, archaeologist, primitive weapons maker, falconer, detective, and boxer. But his most interesting trait is his ability to save lives -- with both expertise and humor. Dedicated to his small island community, and surmounting the obstacles of island living and the dense medical bureaucracy, Dr. Lepore stops at nothing to give all his patients the care they need.
